The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. In New Jersey, this position works under the supervision of a licensed Master Plumber in accordance with state regulations.

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. In New Jersey, this position works under the supervision of a licensed Master Plumber in accordance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in commercial and residential buildings.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to determine plumbing layouts.
- Perform inspections and tests of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction teams, and homeowners as needed.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Ensure work complies with New Jersey plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients at all times.
- Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience in plumbing installation and repair.
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Must be eligible to work under the supervision of a licensed NJ Master Plumber.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with clean driving record.
- Familiarity with NJ plumbing codes and local inspection requirements.
- Strong understanding of both residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Strong preference for candidates who are pursuing or planning to pursue New Jersey Master Plumber licensure.
- Good Communication Skills and active communication on job sites.
- Good with paperwork and documentation
- Detail-oriented and organized
- High level of professionalism when interacting with customers and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Backflow certification or other relevant credentials.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with service management or scheduling software.
- Competitive pay based on experience. $30.00 - $50.00 / hour
