Field Commissioning Engineer - UPS, PDU, LV/MV Switchgear, Generator, ATS

Monday through Friday national travel required. Home every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, installation, and startup of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling towers, and CRAC/CRAH units.
• Testing of protective relays and associated electrical systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, start up, and commission UPS, generators, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, PDU’s, and power metering equipment.
• Design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency with PLC control systems, especially the Rockwell Automation platform.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply strong problem-solving skills.
• Advanced understanding of protective relays and circuit breakers.
• Lead site activities with strong organizational skills to meet project timelines.
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a solid safety record.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and willing to work overtime including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with LV & MV electrical/mechanical power equipment.
• Experience in commissioning, installation, and startup of electrical power equipment and related systems.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel extensively.
