Diesel Maintenance Technician (B)

Job Overview

The Diesel Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining all medium to heavy duty customer vehicles and equipment (class 8 semis, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.), including routine preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient vehicle operations. The technician will perform duties independently with little to no supervision and must be equipped with a personal toolbox. Additionally, they will coach and mentor Diesel Maintenance Technician (C) teammates as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of repairing or replacing structural, body, and mechanic parts of a trailer.
• Proficiency with brakes, drivelines, and mechanical engine components on tractors. Strong electrical skills for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, including emissions and engine components.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Class A/B License preferred for some positions
• DOT Brake/Annual Inspection certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
