Main purpose and responsibilities of the role are described below, including leadership of the warehouse team, third-party provider management, inventory and material supply to Production, and ongoing cost optimization.
Main Purpose Of Job
Leading the warehouse team to manage inventory, supplying of materials to Production. Manage 3rd party warehouse service providers to deliver acceptable standard of services in meeting the plant's KPIs, summarize and agree on stock movement costs with the 3PL, with attention to inventory freshness, warehouse safety and warehouse cost optimization.
Role and Activity
To lead the warehouse team in setting targets for warehousing service including factory inventory, supply of materials to production and timely delivery of goods to the Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Manages and controls the warehouse management information system by ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Champions improvement of processes to maximize capital and people efficiency.
- Ensure flexibility of structures and processes to meet ad-hoc requirements or changes in logistics or market environment.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of warehouse operation.
- Owns budget construction, control, and management for warehousing and potential investments.
- Negotiate contracts per Procure-to-Pay and maintain relationships with service providers, including conflict management.
- Lead selection, engagement, motivation, and management of the warehousing team.
- Oversee maintenance of the building, warehouse equipment and security.
- Identify potential issues in warehouse operations and evaluate risks with solutions.
- Provide advance information to align with team and cross-functional partners on warehouse operations per plan.
- Ensure outstanding delivery of 3PL services at minimum cost and manage 3PL relationships and budgets.
- Adhere to Froneri procedures and standards and maintain 5S in the workplace.
- Update planning parameters in the system for materials as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Operational experience in a leadership role at the warehouse management level.
- Relevant operational experience in logistics, technical, transportation is beneficial.
- Experience managing projects such as warehouse redesigns and high-performance logistics.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience implementing improvement concepts and tools is desirable.
- Excel skills; strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of planning cycles, commercial understanding, optimization techniques and costing.

- Warehousing management processes, tools, systems, and best practices for resource optimization.
- Insourcing vs. outsourcing of warehouse operations.
- Safety, health and environment, quality principles, regulations and best practices.
- Legal framework for warehouse operations and budgeting/cost analysis.
- Supply processes and related drivers (lead times, service levels, prioritization, requirements).
- Stock management (demand type, seasonality, lifecycle status, shelf life, bad goods, demand planning).

Work Environment
The position involves working around others in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cold temperatures and noise, and requires use of protective PPE. Roles include standing, lifting, and working in refrigerated zones; safety and hygiene guidelines must be followed. The facility may involve allergens (nuts and others).
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $112,000 per year, with potential overtime, shift differential, cold premium pay and annual bonuses (variable depending on company performance).
