Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor (3rd Shift) oversees warehouse operations during the overnight shift, ensuring efficient and safe management of inventory, staff, and processes. This role involves coordinating receiving, storage, and distribution activities, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and leading a team to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities

Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting performance reviews.

Inventory Control: Oversee accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring proper inventory tracking and documentation.

Operational Efficiency: Monitor workflow to meet productivity targets, optimize processes, and minimize downtime.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.

Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyor systems.

Reporting: Prepare and submit shift reports, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and incident logs.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational issues, such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or staffing challenges, in a timely manner.

Collaboration: Work with other shifts, departments, and management to ensure seamless operations and communication.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and time management abilities.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.

Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Certifications: Forklift certification or other relevant certifications preferred.

Availability: Must be available to work 3rd shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar hours) and occasional weekends or overtime.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

The role operates in a warehouse setting, primarily during overnight hours.

Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
