Latitude 36 Foods, Llc is hiring: Warehouse Lead in Salinas

Overview

Schedule: 4:30PM-3:30AM (Overtime and weekends as required)

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr.

Additional Compensation Benefits

• Shift Differential: $0.50/hr while working on 2nd shift.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor the Warehouse lead will assist in monitoring the movement of product throughout the warehouse including but not limited to receiving product and issuing of product to production. Warehouse Lead will also ensure all outbound shipments are loaded and pre-loaded to ensure timely deliveries based on the outbound report while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum two years of shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
• Minimum two years of bar code scanning experience is preferred.
• Certified stand-up/reach/sit down forklift is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Working knowledge of computers, systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure "Safety First" is always practiced, while observing and adhering to all job safety rules.
• Assist Supervisor to enforce All Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensures warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
• Ability to work with Material Handlers to ensure product is available for work orders whether product is in trailer or outside warehouse.
• Ability and willingness to follow SOPs.
• Assist supervisor to ensure all Shipments are completed based on the outbound report.
• Assist supervisor to Ensures all pre-loads are completed at least on day ahead based on the outbound report.
• Prepares and provides warehouse reports to supervisor and manager as required.
• Assist Supervisor to help coordinate with the warehouse to ensure sufficient product is always available to prevent downtime.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and work under pressure.
• Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
• Ability to understand general work processes.
• Foster a team environment that promotes continuous improvement, communication, and accountability.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary.
• Must be able to utilize P.I.T. equipment, such as forklift or other lifting devices, to be able to work at heights.
