Your Job
The Warehouse Manager will manage, coordinate, and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies from suppliers and among departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules, warehousing, and shipping to customers. The role will report to the MP&L Manager.
What you Will do in Your Role
- Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to support injection molding production schedules.
- Coordinate material flow between offsite warehouse, main warehouse, and the injection molding floor to prevent downtime.
- Ensure timely delivery from the offsite warehouse to supply resins, colorants, and components to meet production demands of IM and MS.
- Manage all inbound shipments from suppliers, ensuring quality and accuracy. Resolve any inbound ASN discrepancies.
- Oversee outbound logistics, including packaging, staging, and on-time delivery of parts to customers (OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers).
- Verify compliance with customer-specific shipping requirements (B37 & H80 labels, ASN, EDI, etc.).
- Supervise warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift drivers, and shipping clerks.
- Provide training on safety, handling procedures, MRP (CMS) systems.
- Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive customer requirements reviewing 7 &14 day forecast to ensure readiness of finished goods to support OEM requirements.
- Develop and enforce warehouse SOPs for efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Maintain 5S standards and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Oversee safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Monitor KPIs (inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, DOH’s, and premium freight).
- Use CMS database to track material movements and optimize warehouse utilization and capacity using KANBAN methodology.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in materials management
- Proficiency in and the ability to model and implement teamwork; kaizen; standardized work; PDCA; 5S; Value Stream mapping; process flow improvement; and kanban
- Ability to work within an approved budget; develop and implement cost saving measures
- Lead organizational change and employ an environment of continuous improvement
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience in MRP/ERP databases
- Strong analytical and technical skills in supply chain management
