Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Walton, KY

Position Summary:

Supervises warehouse and/or production activities and personnel. Assigns staff and monitors the flow of products through the plant. Makes recommendations for process improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.
  • Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment; communicates the need for repairs and requisitions replacements.
  • Collaborates with other distribution centers and business leaders for coordination.
  • Participates in employee safety and plant protection activities.
  • Provides leadership, ensures adherence to company practices, applies corrective actions when needed.
  • Interviews, trains, and retains staff; conducts performance reviews; mentors and motivates staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and motivation towards results.
  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documentation.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of USDA regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions.
  • Ability to perceive auditory warning signals related to warehouse safety.

Equipment / Tools / Technology:

  • Desktop or laptop computer, networked printer/copier/scanner, Microsoft Office, telephone, and voicemail.
  • Specific software for the company and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV).

Minimum Experience:

3 years warehouse experience required; at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
