Job Overview
Crownover Company Inc. is hiring a reliable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to support residential and civil construction operations. This hands-on role is responsible for safely operating excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other equipment to ensure high-quality excavation, grading, and site prep. This position plays a key role in keeping our projects moving efficiently, safely, and on-schedule.
Whether trenching for footings or grading for a new home pad, you'll be on the front lines of construction excellence. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to operating machinery with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, dump trucks, and compactors to execute excavation, grading, trenching, and material transport.
- Execute tasks per site plans, specifications, and manager instructions.
- Assist with related site activities such as prep, cleanup, and material staging.
- Coordinate with the Civil Works Manager to meet timeline and quality goals.
- Continually improve operating skills through training and field learning.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure proper operation.
- Perform basic maintenance including fueling, greasing, and minor repairs.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness at all times.
- Communication & Documentation
- Record accurate daily logs for equipment use, production, and maintenance.
- Communicate with supervisors and crew to align field operations.
- Represent the Crownover brand with professionalism and team spirit.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times.
- Immediately report any incidents, hazards, or equipment issues.
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Demonstrated safety awareness and track record of safe equipment operation.
- Mechanical aptitude for identifying and performing basic maintenance.
- Ability to read site plans and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily to project sites.
