Sanitation Heavy Equipment Operator
$20.78/hour; 40 hours/week
Hiring Bonus: $2,000.00 after six-month performance evaluation with meets expectations
Closing Date: Until Filled

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED, supplemented by one (1) year of experience in heavy equipment operation
  2. Valid South Carolina Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Job Responsibilities:

This position drives and operates trucks on assigned routes and schedules to collect and transport solid waste, recyclable materials, and yard debris to collection sites. The position may operate a grapple loader to load yard debris. The position inspects and maintains assigned vehicles and performs other work as required. The Sanitation Heavy Equipment Operator operates a solid waste collection truck and performs general manual labor/equipment maintenance work according to set procedures under close supervision and coordinates work of subordinate workers assigned to truck. Will perform groundwork while driving and will also be required to act as a groundman assisting other drivers.
