Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer

Aerotek is hiring for a geo-technical contractor specializing in the design and installation of specialty foundation elements and ground improvement techniques. Our projects are generally commercial, civil, and industrial. We work with earth retention molds and slope control. As an Equipment Operator, you will use front end loaders, dozers, and backhoes to dig, trench, move materials onsite, handle lumber, pile rock, and compact. You will also operate a tie back drill, concrete pump, or micropile.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including front end loaders, skid steers, drills, water trucks, mini dozers (D3), and other site equipment.
  • Unload and cut beams, unload trucks, and perform physical labor as required.
  • Assist with material handling, trenching, digging, and earthwork tasks on construction sites.

Qualifications

  • Hard Skills: 2+ years of experience on heavy equipment; proficiency with front end loaders, skid steers, drills, water trucks, and mini dozers (D3).
  • Experience unloading beams, cutting beams, unloading trucks, and performing physical work.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, mini excavators, and drills.

Work Environment & Schedule

Work is on commercial, civil, and industrial projects. Employees start with a safety orientation and receive task assignments from a supervisor. The role requires working 5-6 days per week, 10 hours per day, averaging about 50 hours per week. Travel across the Rocky Mountain region, Kansas, North Dakota to Texas, and as far as Louisiana is common. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the government rate, along with a per diem of $40 per day for travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
