Position Overview: This role requires relocation or local candidates; no relocation benefits are provided. The Excavator/Heavy Equipment Operator in the Grading Department moves mass excavation in an off-road environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections for safety and mechanical issues.
• Operate construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, concrete, asphalt, or other surfaces.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Assist with general labor tasks as required.

Education and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Safety-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to learn and adhere to safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands:

• Repetitive pushing and pulling with hands, arms, and feet.
• Good visual and auditory capabilities.
• Alertness to multiple activities on site.
• Coordination for operating equipment.
• Ability to mount/dismount vehicles and wear PPE.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and lift up to 70 pounds.

Environmental Conditions:

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to natural elements and varied terrain.
