Storm Clean-Up Heavy Equipment Operator Job at ResourceOne Global LLC in Center

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our storm clean-up team.

Work Location: Center Point, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: 7 days per week, weather permitting - may work extended shift hours and travel for extended periods of time

Starting Pay: $30/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment (e.g., bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and loaders) to remove debris and assist with storm clean-up activities
• Clear fallen trees, branches, and other storm-related debris from roadways, properties, and public spaces
• Load and transport materials such as dirt, debris, rocks, and other waste materials to designated disposal sites
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety before use
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and conduct routine maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Follow detailed work plans, instructions, and safety guidelines for storm recovery tasks
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding equipment operation and environmental safety
• Communicate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and other workers to coordinate efforts and complete tasks efficiently
• Perform other related duties as required for storm clean-up operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in heavy equipment operation preferred
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in storm clean-up, construction, or a similar field
• Willing to work extended shift hours and travel for extended periods of time.
• Proven experience operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar machinery
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and relevant certifications, such as heavy equipment operation certification, preferred
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for equipment operation and storm recovery
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment under varying weather conditions
• Ability to work long hours and be flexible with shifts, especially in emergency storm recovery situations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision

The pay range for this role is:
