We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in operating excavators for storm clean-up operations.

Work Location: Center Point, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: 7 days per week, weather permitting - may work extended shift hours and travel for extended periods.

Starting Pay: $30/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to remove storm debris, fallen trees, and damaged infrastructure.
• Load and transport materials safely to disposal sites.
• Assist in grading, land clearing, and erosion control.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Follow safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and company protocols.
• Coordinate with team members, emergency response crews, and supervisors.
• Work in challenging weather and hazardous environments.
• Maintain logs and reports of work performed and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating excavators and heavy machinery.
• Valid driver’s license and heavy equipment operator certification.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel.
• Experience in storm clean-up, disaster recovery, or construction is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and hazard identification.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
• OSHA safety or disaster recovery certifications.
• Experience with bulldozers, loaders, skid steers.
