Heavy Equipment Operator (Patching) - DOT Operations

This position will be assigned to a patch truck and fill potholes, pipe and utility cuts and general road repair. Incumbent will be responsible for the operation of heavy equipment such as skid steer, mini excavator, and rollers as needed.

  • Operation of asphalt patch truck.
  • Operation of asphalt compactor.
  • Raking of asphalt.
  • Operation of attenuator truck.
  • Operation of dump truck.
  • Operation of Heavy Equipment to include Mini Excavators, Skid Steer and Front End Loader, etc.
  • Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and one year heavy equipment operation or closely related experience.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL with airbrake endorsement is required.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position, which is subject to Drug & Alcohol Workplace testing as provided in DOT regulation 49CFR-parts 40 and /or 655.
  • Must obtain IMOT certification within one year from hire date.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools such as a cut-off saws and jackhammers, etc.
  • The work days and hours for this position are Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm.
