Warehouse Forklift Operators - hiring immediately! Ryder is opening a brand new state of the art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring Permanent Full Time Material Handlers.

Walk-In Hiring Event

Dates: Tuesday 9/16 and Wednesday 9/17

Times: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Address: Hilton Garden Inn, 4160 Philadelphia Rd, Bel Air, MD 21015

Compensation and Schedule

  • Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
  • Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working third shift
  • Schedules: 4-day workweek (Sun–Wed OR Wed–Sun)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work within a diverse work environment
  • Professional relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Reliable, punctual, and with good attendance
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • High degree of initiative and accuracy under pressure
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Flexible schedule across various shifts
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Adhere to contract performance guidelines
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading
  • Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
