The Space Based-Infrared System (SBIRS) uses infrared surveillance to provide early missile warning and includes satellites, hosted payloads, ground hardware and software in GEO/HEO, and associated ground infrastructure.
The SBIRS program missions include Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. The hardware engineer on the SBIRS Remote Ground Station (RGS) team designs, installs, and maintains SBIRS Remote Ground Stations at CONUS and OCONUS locations. You will work with a dynamic, fast-moving, high-performance team to design, install, test, and maintain CONUS and OCONUS RGS facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain SBIRS Remote Ground Stations at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Collaborate with a high-performance team to implement hardware solutions for space systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience integrating technical solutions at customer locations.
- Ability to Obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Ability to transport 50 lbs. and ascend/descend 5 steps.
- Experience installing Hardware Engineering solutions.
- Ability to multi-task.
