Overview

This position is responsible for new product development and design efforts as well as on-going engineering support to existing products to improve reliability, functionality, replace obsoleted components, and reduce cost.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and producing embedded hardware systems.
• Help selecting embedded processor, wireless technologies, schematic capture, board layout, board bring up and debug, and integration of hardware and software to implement embedded video systems.
• Design responsibilities also include high speed memory interfaces, RF, mixed signal, hand held battery powered devices, and image sensors.
• Work with Engineering and Product Management to generate product performance specs from customer requirements.
• Design, analyze, integrate, verify and maintain analog, digital and mixed signal hardware products.
• Design, analyze and trouble shoot microcontroller, FPGA, DSP and CMOS Sensor based circuits.
• Work with senior engineers and assist in top level and low level design and development tasks.
• Ensure products meet design, reliability and quality requirements through analysis, simulation and measurements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Experience with low size, weight and power devices, Battery Powered Devices.
• Must be able to generate schematic capture and PCB layout (Allegro preferred)
• Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineering disciplines, managers, manufacturing and support personnel.

Experience with developing products with international agency compliance (CE, FCC, UL, RoHS) is a plus. Familiarity with batteries, audio, video, wireless technology, digital video recording, RF, CMOS sensors, and cameras is also a plus.
