The role is to design development platforms for the test and validation of custom mixed signal ASICs as part of the Hardware Systems Team.
Responsibilities
- Translate silicon validation test plans into an evaluation board PCB design specification.
- Schematic capture, generate layout guidelines, and oversee layout design.
- Design high speed memory and digital interfaces.
- Design for cost, size, and power constraints in consumer products.
- Low noise analog design and related methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debug skills.
- Familiar with the use of CPLD/FPGA devices in multi-voltage supply designs.
- Signal Integrity experience; simulation experience is a plus.
- Mentor DxDesigner or Cadence Allegro use.
- Candidates should have a BSEE and 8+ years of relevant hardware and system experience.
Additional context: The role covers the full development platform cycle from concept through fabrication, assembly, verification, and failure analysis of defects during high-quantity production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 8+ years of relevant hardware and system experience.
- Experience with mixed-signal ASIC development and development platforms.
- Strong schematic and layout skills, and experience with high-speed interfaces.
- Proven ability to work across analog and digital domains, with attention to noise and signal integrity.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800.
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity in accordance with applicable plan documents and equity award agreements.
