Job Summary
A Network Technician (Hardware) is responsible for installing connectivity solutions, motivating work crews, developing customer relationships, and ensuring high-quality, timely installations that meet customer requirements.
Must be able to travel throughout the Eastern US.
Responsibilities
- Experience in Access Control/CCTV programming is a plus.
- Maintain a professional appearance, including wearing the company uniform during project duties unless instructed otherwise.
- Follow directions and accept critiques from higher-level team members.
- Understand complex wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
- Download files to USB drives for provisioning LTE modems and switches.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, UPSs, and PDUs.
- Commission cameras, gates, access points, and other network devices.
- Update firmware on various devices.
- Terminate fiber optic fittings efficiently according to standards.
- Troubleshoot fiber and WAN connectivity issues.
- Terminate copper cabling according to standards.
- Test and document optical attenuation on fiber strands and analyze OTDR data.
- Develop and follow project plans in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Manage project materials and coordinate with team members to meet milestones.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project scope.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure team adherence to policies and safety procedures.
- Label cables and components accurately and archive test results.
- Provide all required documentation to the customer and obtain project acceptance.
- Maintain a clean worksite and proper care of company assets.
- Complete administrative tasks such as timecards and material forms.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Attend training sessions to maintain vendor certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and programming telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV, access control, and wireless solutions.
- Proficiency in installing, terminating, and testing low-voltage and fiber optic cables.
- Ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams and instructions.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and hold a valid driver’s license.
- Dexterity and coordination for handling tools and equipment.
- Ability to work at heights using proper fall protection.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and drive.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with support outside these hours as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
