Lunar Energy is hiring: Electrical Engineer (Embedded Hardware) in California

Overview

Electrical Engineer (Embedded Hardware) role at Lunar Energy. Looking for a motivated electrical engineer with a focus in embedded hardware to design the next generation of boards for Lunar Energy's products. Engineers are hands-on, comfortable with both simulation and real hardware, and able to carry product development from concept through high-volume production. The role supports home energy storage systems and collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Help us create the best possible products by contributing to product level features, design, and vision leveraging your experience and creativity.
• Design and develop digital electronics, analog electronics, and small power supplies for various components of our home energy system.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, design validation, thermal design, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing test engineers.
• Perform bring up and debugging of new boards.
• Own circuit board electronics from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent evidence of exceptional ability.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong microcontroller design experience in real-time applications.
• Experience designing digital communication buses (CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, USB, SPI, I2C, etc.) and hands-on debugging of communication buses.
• Experience with selection and design of analog sensors and signal conditioning circuits.
• Experience in high-speed signals design (DDR, eMMC, Ethernet, USB) or a strong desire to learn about high-speed signal design.

Compensation & Philosophy

Our compensation philosophy is to ensure that Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Salary range for this position (California applicants) is a good faith estimate: $135,000 - $185,000 USD, depending on level of experience. The actual offer will reflect total compensation and is at the company’s sole discretion, based on factors including years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
