Title: Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Woodridge, IL – Onsite

Duration: 6+ months

Summary

Seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to design, develop, and support electronic control modules from concept to production. Focus areas include analog/digital/power circuits, microcontrollers, displays, and automotive I/Os.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot analog, digital, and power circuits
• Create schematics and support PCB layout
• Develop documentation (requirements, test plans, etc.)
• Support production with cost, quality, and component updates
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations
• Collaborate with validation, manufacturing, and product teams
• Apply FMEA, DOE, and DFM for robust design

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands-on electronic design experience
• Experience with microcontrollers (8/16/32-bit), displays, drivers, and sensors
• Skilled in schematic design and debugging (hardware/software)
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital/power design and automotive I/Os
• Familiar with embedded C/Assembly, EMC testing, and root cause analysis
• PCB design experience (multi-layer, Mentor or similar tools)
• Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, etc.)
• Good documentation and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience in automotive, industrial, or medical electronics
• Familiarity with OS (WinCE, Linux), EMI/EMC layout, and instrument clusters
• Manufacturing process knowledge is a plus

Education: BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
