Contract Talent Acquisition Recruiter

Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour

Location: Remote (Must be based in Charlotte, NC)

Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary

A large, global organization is seeking a Contract Talent Acquisition Recruiter to manage the full recruiting lifecycle for experienced hires. This is a contract position focused on filling requisitions within specific business units. The role requires a proactive and collaborative professional who can quickly integrate with the HR and business operations teams to meet hiring goals.

Essential Duties & Qualifications

Essential Duties:

  • Manage Full-Cycle Recruiting: Lead the entire talent acquisition process from requisition to onboarding, including posting roles, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and managing offer letters and background checks.
  • Strategic Sourcing and Diversity: Proactively build and maintain a pipeline of diverse talent using various social media platforms and resume databases. Champion and support Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiatives to attract diverse talent pools.
  • Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with hiring managers, regional business units, and HR teams to understand talent needs, provide consultative support, and expedite internal mobility and transfers.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and apply lean concepts (e.g., Personal Kanban) to enhance the team's efficiency and overall effectiveness.
  • Employer Branding: Work with business leaders and marketing to identify new strategies and programs to attract talent and promote the company as an "Employer of Choice."

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and at least 3 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience are required.
  • Certifications: Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification is preferred.
  • Key Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite , with advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in the construction industry or with a large organization (10,000+ employees) is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • The work is primarily performed in an office or remote setting, with occasional travel to construction sites or off-site venues.
  • The role requires frequent sitting, computer use, and communication with various stakeholders.
  • Some physical demands include regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
