Overview

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a skilled and proactive Recruiter to join the Human Resources team in New York. This role focuses on attracting and hiring top-tier talent across a variety of business support functions. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in full-cycle recruiting, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and firm leadership. This position plays a key role in shaping the firm’s talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for Business Professional roles in collaboration with hiring managers and the HR Recruiting team
  • Conduct intake meetings to gather detailed job requirements and understand team dynamics
  • Source candidates using a variety of methods, including LinkedIn, job boards, headhunters, and professional associations
  • Review applications and screen candidates to identify the most qualified individuals
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit
  • Coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with hiring teams to develop competitive offers and manage negotiations with selected candidates
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through consistent, timely communication and a professional recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the applicant tracking system (Taleo preferred)
  • Identify recruitment process improvements and manage expectations across stakeholders
  • Support other HR initiatives and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting
  • Deep understanding of recruitment strategies, best practices, and legal compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for written communications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple searches independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn; experience with ATS platforms (Taleo preferred)
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when necessary

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance four days per week, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
