Description:

The HR Generalist plays a supporting role within the Human Resources department, under the direction of the Sr HR Manager.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas:

  • Administrative tasks assigned, onboarding, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) administration, reporting, liaising with the extended HR Centers of Excellence, and assisting with employee relations issues.
  • Answer questions about HR policies and programs covering recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety, and personnel research.
  • Conduct analysis of employment-related data and prepare reports.
  • Assist in administering performance reviews and document the process thoroughly.
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Compile raw data into reports to assist HR reporting needs.
  • Answer questions sent to the HR Mailbox.
  • Support HR Business Partners with preparation of charts, presentations, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
  • Act on behalf of HR Business Partners in their absence.
  • Collaborate with COEs to update knowledge base and share information with Shared Services.
  • Maintain professionalism and display strong knowledge when answering company inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Work Experience/Education Required:

  • At least 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience and 1 year of Employee Relations experience in a fast-paced team environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of HR concepts, best practices, procedures, and exposure to HR policies.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills (oral and written), planning, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work 3 days a week, 8 hours per day, including Fridays.
