The HR Generalist plays a supporting role within the Human Resources department, under the direction of the Sr HR Manager.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
- Administrative tasks assigned, onboarding, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) administration, reporting, liaising with the extended HR Centers of Excellence, and assisting with employee relations issues.
- Answer questions about HR policies and programs covering recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety, and personnel research.
- Conduct analysis of employment-related data and prepare reports.
- Assist in administering performance reviews and document the process thoroughly.
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Compile raw data into reports to assist HR reporting needs.
- Answer questions sent to the HR Mailbox.
- Support HR Business Partners with preparation of charts, presentations, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
- Act on behalf of HR Business Partners in their absence.
- Collaborate with COEs to update knowledge base and share information with Shared Services.
- Maintain professionalism and display strong knowledge when answering company inquiries.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Work Experience/Education Required:
- At least 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience and 1 year of Employee Relations experience in a fast-paced team environment with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, best practices, procedures, and exposure to HR policies.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills (oral and written), planning, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work 3 days a week, 8 hours per day, including Fridays.
