Overview
HR Director role at Leidos in Reston, supporting one or more Executive Leadership Team members and the functional components they lead. This position shapes and executes HR outcomes at the highest levels of the company.
Primary Responsibilities
The HR Director will lead Human Resources for one or more Enterprise Functions company-wide. The successful candidate will work directly with executives to design, deliver, and assess workforce solutions; contribute to attracting, retaining, developing, and deploying talent to support enterprise performance and growth. The role requires building strong relationships with senior leaders and using strong business acumen to provide effective consultation, planning, and execution. Talent development (including leader development), organizational design, and change management are high priorities. The role collaborates with many business functions to shape HR solutions. The HR Director will manage at least one HRBP and work in a “one team” environment, leveraging peers and other HR talent while supporting cross-functional initiatives and projects. The HR Director will proactively diagnose business needs and implement solutions to continually improve organizational performance. The position serves as a key leader within the Enterprise Functions HR Team, reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources for Enterprise Functions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or related field) with 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a role supporting senior and/or executive management at a mid- to large-sized federal contractor.
- Experience working with management at all levels, including first-level supervisors through senior-level management.
- Broad HR expertise with strong project management and organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively design solutions, think big-picture, and create innovative, agile solutions focused on results improvement.
- Experience creating and implementing Talent Development plans and solutions.
- Deep experience in employee relations.
- Strong verbal and written communication and consultation skills with the ability to distill complex issues into executive-level presentations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to diagnose and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
