Join to apply for the HR Manager role at Oerlikon in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on Recruitment/Selection, Employee Relations, and administration of the Barmag Human Capital Management and Salary/Bonus Review processes. The HR Manager will work with process owners to identify paths for issue resolution and escalation, support general HR process improvements as an HR business partner to internal clients in the US, and collaborate with the international HR team on a regular basis. The Manager will be responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all projects and reports.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment of Barmag USA as an independent entity for HR processes (payroll, benefits, administration) within the framework of an M&A project (carve-out).
  • Work through a global governance model to ensure consistency and standardization while supporting local business needs and requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for managers and employees re: all Barmag American HR topics.
  • Ensure all HR processes and procedures are documented and stored in a central documentation repository as directed.
  • Responsible for maintaining various HR KPIs and ensuring timely and accurate reporting regionally and globally as directed.
  • Provide corporate and ethical leadership example to all managers and employees.
  • Work, think, and act in a business capacity with regards to performing HR responsibilities with a customer service mindset.
  • Serve as the key interface between the business and global HR community, aligning the needs of the business with group people strategies.
  • Coordinate with payroll providers for compensation validation and handle payroll return notifications from state and federal jurisdictions.
  • Lead or support benefits negotiations and administration as needed.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources Management is required. Master’s degree is preferred. Experience may substitute.
  • 8–10 years of Human Resources experience with experience supporting multi-site manufacturing/production operations.
  • Direct Talent Acquisition experience is required.
  • Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of HR systems including performance management, recruiting tools, payroll and benefits systems.
  • Willing to be flexible to complete projects and support HR department to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ethical, goal-oriented, hardworking, customer-service oriented, and a team-player/collaborator.
