Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

Greene Resources is seeking an HR Generalist to join a growing and dynamic team.

Pay: $75,000/year

Experience: 2+ years of progressive HR experience is required; Prior ADA interactive process and LOA administration experience is required

Education: A Bachelor's degree or an HR certification is preferred

Job Description

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and employee relations, escalating to HR leadership or corporate COEs as needed
• Provide guidance on low-level employee relations issues and remediation
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and maintain compliance with required postings and labor regulations
• Act as the liaison between Recruiting and HR by leading new hire orientation sessions, processing I-9 documentation, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
• Oversee hire and termination workflows in Workday and related systems
• Manage background check systems and results for new hires
• Complete verbal and written employment verifications
• Administer full-cycle Leave of Absence (LOA) and ADA accommodation requests
• Track and communicate LOA/ADA cases with the Leave of Absence team
• Maintain accurate employee records in Workday, including updates related to onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle changes
• Digitize legacy employee records into Workday or HR Drives
• Respond to Department of Labor inquiries related to unemployment claims
