Riot Platforms, Inc. ("Riot") is a Bitcoin-driven industry leader dedicated to developing and operating large-scale data centers for high-performance computing and Bitcoin mining. Riot is expanding its mining operations and supporting innovation through its engineering and fabrication teams in Denver, Colorado, and Houston, Texas. We are building a leading Bitcoin and digital infrastructure platform that expands into large-scale data centers for HPC and AI clients.

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR department. In this role, you will support a wide range of HR functions, including payroll administration, while providing day-to-day HR services to employees and management at our subsidiary, E4A Solutions, in Houston, Texas.

Essential Functions

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job profiling and sourcing to interviewing and candidate selection.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience by ensuring a smooth and transparent recruitment process.
  • Assist with benefits administration and coordinate new hire orientation.
  • Support offboarding and termination procedures.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including employment verification and new hire paperwork.
  • Manage payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
  • Work with Epicor (or similar payroll/HRIS systems) to maintain payroll and HR records.
  • Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from databases.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with internal communications and change management projects to foster a positive employee experience.
  • Support additional HR department goals and programs as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong payroll administration skills; Epicor experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law practices including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven integrity and ability to build trust.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, and ability to foster a positive work environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of professional HR experience, including hands-on payroll responsibilities.
  • 1+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
