The HR Generalist position performs human resources related duties at a professional level, including employee relations, training, and development of department goals and objectives. The role requires maintaining confidentiality in the administration of employee and business information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in motivating managers and supervisors to ensure consistent, fair treatment of all employees.
- Promote effective manager/employee relations.
- Assist in maintaining a union-free workplace.
- Maintain confidential employee files, information, records, and reports.
- Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) such as ADP, KRONOS, SAP, etc.
- Assist with annual benefit enrollment.
- Coordinate with outside providers to offer employer/employee services.
- Ensure compliance with company code of ethics and conduct.
- Participate in HR staff meetings and other scheduled meetings.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations/laws.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs.
- Conduct employee investigations as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or a 2-year degree in Human Resources with 5 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems is highly desirable but not required. PHR/SHRM-CP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
