Overview:

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for managing multiple priorities while overseeing all HR functions for their assigned locations/employee groups. This leader acts as a frontline consultant to the business, promoting engagement and culture, and working with managers to provide guidance and drive accountability. The HRM operates as a business partner, delivering solutions in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, training, change management, safety, and compensation. This position has one direct report.

Responsibilities:

  1. Management Impact: Serve on leadership teams, identify trends, and implement department goals and process improvements. Participate in strategic planning.
  2. Staffing: Collaborate with managers to develop staffing plans, oversee recruiting, onboarding, and terminations, ensuring legal compliance.
  3. Benefits Administration: Work with benefits team to deliver annual enrollment and address benefits inquiries.
  4. Policies and Procedures: Develop and administer HR policies ensuring legal compliance and organizational fit.
  5. Systems and Records: Maintain confidential employee data and ensure accuracy across HR systems.
  6. Employment Law: Stay current on employment laws and exercise judgment accordingly.
  7. Employee Relations: Lead change management, handle conflicts, and coordinate investigations.
  8. Employee Engagement: Gather feedback, promote engagement initiatives, and foster a positive culture.
  9. Training and Performance Management: Support career development, manage review processes, and handle performance issues.
  10. Org Chart: Keep organizational charts and job descriptions current and aligned.
  11. Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years HR experience, with career progression.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and organizational practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization is a plus.
