Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will be responsible for executing day-to-day HR operations, with a primary focus on employee training and development across all levels, including leadership. This role also supports functions such as recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy enforcement.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, track, and document employee training programs, including mandatory compliance training (e.g., safety, anti-harassment), continuing education, professional certifications, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and design or source appropriate development opportunities.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: source, interview, and assist in hiring qualified candidates in alignment with organizational needs.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, including background verifications and eligibility screenings.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and support employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs.
- Administer core HR functions including compensation, benefits, leave management, employee relations, and performance management.
- Serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain and recommend updates to HR policies and procedures.
- Stay informed of emerging HR trends, technologies, and best practices in training, talent development, and labor law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
