Senior HR Generalist – Luxury Retail – New York, NY | Hybrid

We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist who can seamlessly navigate between strategic HR leadership and hands-on operational execution. This role partners with both corporate and boutique teams to deliver best-in-class HR support that drives business results, strengthens culture, and enhances the employee experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and employee coaching to support business goals.
  • Program Design & Culture-Building: Develop and deliver initiatives that foster engagement, retention, and a strong company culture.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Monitor HR metrics, analyze trends, and recommend targeted programs to improve performance and employee experience.
  • Full-Cycle Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment from intake to onboarding, ensuring a premium candidate journey.
  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex issues through impartial investigations, applying sound judgment and discretion.
  • HR Operations: Oversee payroll, benefits, and HRIS management with accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Leave & Accommodation Management: Handle leaves of absence, accommodations, and workers’ compensation cases with professionalism and empathy.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in HR Generalist or HR Business Partner roles, preferably in retail or multi-site environments.
  • Broad HR expertise spanning talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, diversity & inclusion, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to move fluidly between strategic conversations with senior leaders and hands-on execution of daily HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP WFN preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
