Job Description

What You'll Do:

As a Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring each guest has a pleasant shopping experience. Your responsibilities include:

• Engage with Guests: Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
• Efficient Transactions: Scan items, process sales efficiently, and handle monetary transactions carefully.
• Bagging with Care: Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
• Stay Informed: Be aware of current promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
• Maintain Order: Keep your register station neat and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Communication: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services team as needed to ensure satisfaction.
• Quality Standards: Meet all quality and quantity standards, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
• Teamwork: Support team duties as needed.
• Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed as a Cashier at Festival Foods, you should have:

• Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service.
• Retail Experience: Ability to process transactions and handle cash and media at registers.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately for precise transactions.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all necessary equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling. Fine motor skills and coordination are required for equipment operation. Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.

Work Schedule:

The position offers flexible part-time and full-time options, with schedules that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
