Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company while you process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Responsibilities include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change; assisting customers by providing information and resolving complaints; following front end procedures; stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed; maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items; guiding customers to product locations; staying informed about events and seminars; maintaining clean checkout areas; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry product up to 30 lbs, with movement distances as specified, up to 50 hours per week (no mechanical assistance).
• Must use hands to move grocery carts up to 35 lbs, for up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling and mathematical skills; ability to read, write and count.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.05 - $22.50 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
