Responsibilities

• Process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service.
• Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change; provide information and resolve customer questions or complaints.
• Follow all front end procedures, assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and assist customers by directing them to product locations.
• Communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier; maintain checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition; perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment (register, calculator, scanner).
• Dependable with flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. for short distances; ability to move grocery carts up to 35 lbs. for short distances; physical requirements may apply as described.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical proficiency; cash handling skills.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $18.05 - $22.50 per hour. Pay is determined based on applicable experience and qualifications.
