The Service Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling payments, processing transactions, and assisting with various administrative tasks within the service department of a Ford dealership. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Service Cashier Compensation and Benefits:

Service Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assist with their service inquiries
  • Accurately process payments for service department and parts department transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments
  • Generate and review service invoices and ensure accuracy
  • Balance the cash drawer and maintain accurate records of daily transactions
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department
  • Assist customers with questions regarding service billing and payments
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier area
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, helpful, and professional
  • Assist the service department with administrative tasks as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry

Service Cashier Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service (preferred)
  • Basic Excel Knowledge (required)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new technology and service procedures
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic
