Job Summary

Looking for a Janitor or Custodian to take care of the building by carrying out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep the building in a clean, orderly condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently

Physical Capabilities

• Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
• Frequently walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, twisting, bending, kneeling, heavy use of hands/forearms.
• 8 hours straight shift (Scheduled overtime required)

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/Assembly, indoor, concrete floor, dust, good ventilation, moving machinery.
• Hot and sharp objects. Moderate mental stress. Heat/Cold changes in temperature and /or humidity changes.
