Janitor
Job Summary
Looking for a Janitor or Custodian to take care of the building by carrying out cleaning, maintenance, and security duties. The goal is to keep the building in a clean, orderly condition.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
Physical Capabilities
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Frequently walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, twisting, bending, kneeling, heavy use of hands/forearms.
- 8 hours straight shift (Scheduled overtime required)
- Manufacturing/Assembly, indoor, concrete floor, dust, good ventilation, moving machinery.
- Hot and sharp objects. Moderate mental stress. Heat/Cold changes in temperature and/or humidity changes.
Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
