The incumbent cleans and maintains factory working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, apartment house, or commercial or other establishment.

Pay Rate: $17.20/hr

Work Model: Onsite/Office-based

Responsibilities

• Follow custodial plans and checklists assigned by the Custodial Supervisor for specific work locations daily.
• Plan, organize work, and meet all deadlines.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and related fixtures, including drinking fountains, water coolers, sinks, urinals, and toilets; replenish supplies.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, and fixtures.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
• Wash tables and chairs.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment; set up rooms for conferences and meetings.
• Replace light bulbs and adjust shades and blinds.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs.
• Perform specialized restoration projects on floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• General knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Material Communication procedures related to cleaning supplies.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record (must provide current record).
• Ability to pass background investigation.
• Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
