The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside buildings or multiple client sites. Tasks vary and must be performed flexibly per client’s specifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Empty and clean waste containers, remove waste paper and garbage, damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean ash trays, monitor sand urns, and restore sand as needed.
• Dust image frames, charts, graphs, wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceiling and air condition diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted areas.
• Hand dust and clean office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and flat surfaces.
• Clean and buff metal fixtures and bright work.
• Clean and maintain tile floors.
• Damp wipe and buff glass furnishings.
• Clean entry door glass inside and outside.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces and around light switches.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum carpets.
• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Sanitize and restock bathroom supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a janitorial role.
