This is a NIGHT position, general schedule is Mon-Thurs, 5:30PM-3:30AM

Overview

The Facilities Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations. Provide excellent service to the clients at all times.

Primary Responsibilities

• Crush all cardboards that the night crew has discarded during the night s production.
• Empty all garbage cans within the warehouse facility.
• Sweep up all debri in isles, walkways & pick modules.
• Clean guard rails and pole barriers quarterly.
• Run the scrubber on a daily basis to keep the dust down within the warehouse facility.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as instructed.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms within the facility.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, and according to specifications.
• Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow-melting chemicals as needed.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
• Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) to move, store, or stage product in or on storage racks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience.

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include frequently sitting and operating a motor vehicle.
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
• May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.
