About the Role:

The Non Union Janitor at the AESC Battery Plant, located at 3855, plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within the facility. This position ensures that all designated areas, including production floors, offices, restrooms, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. The janitor contributes to the overall operational efficiency by preventing hazards related to cleanliness and waste management. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to support the plant's daily functions. Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to operate floor cleaning machines or other specialized janitorial equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal across all assigned areas within the plant.
  • Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other communal spaces to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance or replenishment needs promptly.
  • Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risks during cleaning operations.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or emergency cleanups as required to support plant operations.
