This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Instructor Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Five years recent welding field experience (Five years recent teaching experience at the college level, industry training experience, or a combination may be substituted, year for year, for recent welding field experience.

  • Welding certifications in all areas of instruction are required within the first year of hire as follows:

    • SMAW E-7018, 3G and 4G unlimited plate

    • GMAW E-70S6 (hardwire) 2G unlimited plate

    • FCAW Dual Shield E 70 T1, 3G and 4G unlimited plate

    • FCAW Inner Shield E 71 T8, 3G and 4G unlimited plated

    • GTAW 2 inch Pipe 6G position

    • SMAW 6 inch Pipe 6G position

  • AAS in Welding Technology

Part-time Faculty Compensation at PCC

Newly hired Part-time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule.

Hourly rates are determine based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
