Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Project Engineering Manager for direct hire with a leading local manufacturer. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll lead capital projects, enhance facility infrastructure, and champion process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all phases of capital project management—from planning and budgeting to design, construction, and optimization
• Oversee infrastructure systems including ammonia refrigeration, wastewater, power distribution, steam generation, and controls
• Analyze energy and utility usage, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/federal regulatory requirements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, reliability, and plant performance
• Manage documentation and filing of environmental permits and compliance reports
• Conduct investigations of near-misses or safety incidents and implement corrective actions
• Maintain and update site and equipment drawings using AutoCAD
• Mentor and support plant teams in GMP compliance, continuous improvement, and food safety initiatives
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in engineering or project management
• 3–5 years of experience in food & beverage manufacturing or a GMP-regulated environment
• Demonstrated success in managing capital projects, budgets, and process improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, and food manufacturing systems
• Experience with controls systems such as Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred
• Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs with assistance, climb, kneel, and work at heights over 18 ft
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and wear PPE as required
• Occasional extended shifts, weekends, or after-hours work as needed
