Mig welder that plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products
Weld parts as part of a production team
Ensure high safety measures while working, including donning protective gear for the face and body
Read and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal parts/products
Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to specifications
Create quality welds according to blueprints
Diagnose and resolve problems
Use hand and power tools
Change welding wire as needed
Change gas tanks as needed
Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
Operate equipment such as industrial saws
Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Inspect welds for accuracy and inspect jobs upon completion; ensure work areas are clean
Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
Run each job with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area
Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used safely with safety devices in use
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
Report any unsafe conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years of welding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, flexible, and enjoy working with a variety of staff
Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; manage multiple projects
Must have basic knowledge of power tools and hand tools
Must be able to speak, follow verbal and written direction in English
