  • Work Location: 10 Snowshoe Drive, Snowshoe, WV 26209
  • Pay: $15.25 per hour
  • Start Date: Mid-November with positions available throughout the season.
  • Seasonal: This position is available from Mid-November to Late March, aligning with our winter ski and summer bike seasons. Seasonal work involves temporary employment tied to specific times of the year.
  • Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Do you have a knack for being clean and tidy? Come join Snowshoe Mountain Resort! The custodial position involves removing solid waste from Snowshoe Village and business units daily, monitoring Snowshoe compactors, and operating Snowshoe's recycle program for recyclable materials and hazardous waste.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain Snowshoe compactors, reporting issues promptly.
  • Ensure compactors are operational, clean, and emptied as needed.
  • Keep compactor areas and village trash cans clean and organized.
  • Manage trash and recycling collection, including special recyclables.
  • Coordinate with Pocahontas Recycle and handle special waste needs.
  • Report equipment defects, maintain cleanliness, and complete reports.
  • Arrive on time, wear appropriate attire, and participate in training.
  • Contribute to team efforts and achieve results as directed.

Driving:

  • Have a valid Driver's license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program.

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to move a pull trailer attached to a pickup truck.
  • Ability to operate a standard shift truck.
  • Knowledge of Snowshoe Mountain and location of departments is helpful.
