LHH is working with a dynamic and forward-thinking Non-Profit company focused on excellence, innovation, and a collaborative environment. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, manage the accounting team, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide accurate and timely financial reports. Strong leadership, solid knowledge of accounting principles, and a commitment to accuracy are required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as requested.
- Supervise and guide the accounting team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
