POSITION OVERVIEW:The Accounting Associate is responsible for performing moderately complex accounting activities to ensure the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger. This role involves preparing managerial reports and financial statements, contributing to the organization's financial integrity through meticulous attention to detail and compliance with accounting principles.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:General Ledger Maintenance:Manage and maintain the general ledgerReconcile accounts and investigate discrepanciesRecord financial transactions and journal entriesFinancial Reporting:Prepare managerial reports and financial statementsAnalyze financial data to identify trendsSupport in preparing forecasts and budgetsCompliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standardsMaintain organized financial recordsCollaborate with internal and external auditorsAnalysis and Problem-Solving:Conduct financial analysisInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepanciesPropose process improvementsREQUIREMENTS:Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)Experience:3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or related fieldINDEPENDENCE LEVEL:Works under general supervisionReports to General Accounting SupervisorSKILLS:Proficiency in accounting softwareExcellent communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented and accuracy-focusedTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:Knowledge of accounting systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelKnowledge of financial analysis tools
